The AL-KO Premium 520 SP-H self-propelled lawn mower has a 20 inch / 51cm cutting width, single speed power drive and is powered by a premium quality Honda GCVx170 petrol engine with Auto Choke Comfort system. Taller MaxAirFlow steel cutter decks fitted to these Premium range mowers improve grass collection and help to prevent the discharge channel from becoming blocked.
The Premium 520 SP-H four wheeled lawnmower has a 4-in-1 mowing function which gives the user the choice between collect, rear discharge, side discharge and mulch. Grass clipping are collected into an EasyClick 70L box which has a fill-level indicator to let you know when it requires emptying. Changing the cutting height couldn’t be easier with the spring assisted central lever. The lever can be set through 7 adjustments from 30 – 80mm. Start with the highest setting, then work down gradually to achieve the best cut and finish on your lawn.
If you don’t want to just cut and collect the grass you can choose between discharging it to the rear of the mower, discharging it to the side in a neat line or mulching it into fine pieces.
The rear or side discharge functions are especially good when mowing informal or long grass areas where the cuttings can be left to wilt back naturally.
Mulching is an excellent way to feed the lawn as the tiny grass pieces are rich in nutrients and as they wilt will release these back into the soil. Mulching is recommended in drier conditions and when the grass is shorter. The pieces are so small they virtually disappear into lawn whilst you’re mowing
The single speed drive combined with XXL wheels with ball bearings and the ergonomically shaped handlebars with flat OPC and soft grip makes the Premium 520 SP-H comfortable to operate and easy to manoeuvre around the garden.
