EGO’s ride-on mower range has returned with another industry-first for 2023, introducing its first ever Z6 steering wheel model featuring new e-Steer™ Technology for advanced steering control and confidence.

Our newest Z6 model drives like a car and turns like a zero-turn simultaneously, with a precision steering wheel and the latest in digital steering technology – as well as offering the same world-first battery platform-compatibility as all EGO ride-on models.

Delivering the equivalent power of a 22 hp petrol engine but with none of the emissions, the Z6 covers up to 2.5 acres on a single charge using six 12Ah batteries. You can tailor the combination of batteries exactly to match the size of your lawn, and to how you prefer to cut your grass. For more acreage and maximum runtime, simply add more batteries. If you want to swap in other battery packs, any combination of at least 15.0Ah will bring the mower to life, which is why we are including one 10.0Ah and one 5.0Ah battery as complementary gifts to get you started.

The industry’s fastest battery charger fully charges four 10Ah batteries, by simply plugging it in to the handy side charge port, in just two hours to give you four times the mowing experience. The four independent brushless motors deliver the power and performance of petrol to get the job done.

Performance

The ZT4201E-S reaches a top speed of 8MPH and will cover up to 4 acres on a single charge with six 12Ah batteries. The LCD screen is intuitive, allowing you to control the mower’s speed, mode, and cutting speed, plus you can see exactly how much charge you have left. This can be accessed with the simple touch of a finger.

Choose between three driving modes. Standard mode which you can use for everyday tasks, Control which will protect your turf and is perfect for new zero-turn users, or Sport which is great for precision cuts around sharp turns.

It also has Bluetooth connectivity so you can enable a remote key from your mobile, take full control of your mowing experience, monitor your battery, and download firmware updates to receive the latest features.

Perfect cut

With side-discharge as standard, the 107cm / 42in cutter deck offers a 3-in-1 cutting system allowing you to choose whether to side discharge, mulch the grass clippings by inserting the mulch plug provided or collect with the optional twin grass bag. There are 10 cutting height settings which range between 38 – 114mm. These are easily adjustable with one hand by using the ergonomic handles. Not only can you dial in to the perfect cut, but you can also do what you require with the clippings. (Bagging kit sold separately).

The deck is equipped with two 53cm (21″) blades and incorporates a deck wash hose connection on the driver’s left side.

Premium features

Central to the mower is a comfortable, adjustable seat with pivoting armrests. Looking forward from the driver’s seat, an LED indicator is located between your feet to allow you to keep an eye on your charge levels without taking your eyes off of what’s ahead of you.

Premium features like LED lights, USB charging port, phone holder and Bluetooth come as standard to make the experience unlike any other zero-turn mower. The LEDs are always on when the mower is powered up, but hit the light button on the control panel and you will activate even more to help you mow in low or even no light. There is another set of LEDs on the rear which blink when you are in reverse to alert anyone who might walk across your path.

A handy storage area with a magnetic closure and interior USB charging is big enough to store your personal items such as phone, wallet and keys. If you want quicker access to your phone, there is a slot on the right side of the control panel that you can slide it into securely. A welcome cup holder with two sizes accommodates different beverages.
